Cottage Details

The spacious two bedroom cottage is a 19th Century former barn and bakery which we have recently refurbished to an excellent standard for first opening in spring 2018.  Attached as an annex to our family home, the cottage is arranged to enable you to make the most of the glorious Gloucestershire countryside views: the sunsets over May Hill are particularly special!

Inside

Kitchen-Dining Room

The ground floor has an entrance hallway and a generously sized and well equipped kitchen featuring a dishwasher, electric oven, 4 ring ceramic hob, microwave, fridge (with freezer compartment), along with a dining table and four chairs.  As keen cooks ourselves, we have equipped the kitchen as we would our own home so you should find whatever you need for your stay, be that a slow cooker or Sabatier knives!

Sitting Room

The sitting room is located in the centre of the first floor so you can enjoy watching hares in the fields or buzzards circling within view of May Hill.  There is a sofa and two armchairs, a HD-TV, a well stocked bookcase  and selection of board games and jigsaws for you to enjoy. There is also information about local activities, attractions and walking routes that can help you make the most of your stay in Tibberton.

Bedrooms

The main bedroom has dual-aspect countryside views and is furnished with a king-size double bed. The twin room, at the other end of the cottage, has two full sized single beds. Both rooms have luxurious Egyptian cotton bedding, are spacious and have plenty of space for storing and hanging clothes.  A travel cot can be provided for either room.

Shower Room

The shower room has a large electric shower, guaranteeing you continuous hot water.  Egyptian cotton towels are provided for use during your stay.  Please let us know if you would like to borrow a baby bath.

WiFi

The cottage has WiFi internet access.

Family Friendly

The cottage is family friendly; stairgates, a high chair, cupboard catches and plastic cutlery and crockery are available as standard in the cottage. On request, we can also provide a travel cot and baby bath.

Outside

Garden

Outside, guests have exclusive use of the orchard garden, with a dining table and four chairs. A barbecue and a selection of garden games are also provided: ideal for relaxing on a summer's evening.

Laundry Room & Bike Storage

For outdoor enthusiasts guests also have access to a separate drying room, shared with the owners, complete with washing machine, tumble dryer, hanging space and boot rack.  We also offer secure bike storage and additional freezer space if required.

Parking

There is a parking space immediately adjacent to the cottage, and further free parking on the shared driveway is available on request.

No smoking & no pets

No pets are allowed at the property (assistance dogs are welcome).

All areas, indoor and out, are strictly no smoking.

Accessibility

Please see our comprehensive Accessibility Guide here.  Unfortunately, as both bedrooms, and toilet and washing facilities are on the first floor, the cottage may not be suitable for all guests with limited mobility.  However, we endeavour to make all our guests feel welcome, so please do get in touch to discuss any particular requirements or questions you may have. Guests should be aware that, since this is a converted 19th Century building, some of the doorways are only 1.8m (~6 feet) high.
